Best selling beer announced
According to market research analysts ACNielsen the best selling beer on the Polish market between February and September of last year was Tyskie which is produced by Kompania Piwowarska in Poznań and Tychy near Katowice.
In the eight months of last year under question, Tyskie obtained a 15.4 percent share of the market which made it the undisputed leader. ACNielsen did not reveal who came second although it would surprise no-one if it were Żywiec.
Information from the statistics office GUS, suggests that in real terms the price of beer has fallen by around twenty percent in the past four years. This year’s excise increases will no doubt put a stop to that.
