Conflicting signals

The final quarter of last year saw an increase of 25 percent on the Warsaw stock market, although most of this was wiped out later. Indeed the market today is not much further ahead of where it was this time last year. Nonetheless the beginning of the final quarter might have had some psychological benefit. If it did, it was insufficient. Mixed signals are coming from western Europe as some markets made light gains, others falls. Warsaw lost 0.5 percent with the WIG20 closing at 1,039 points and the WIG at 12,740 points.
