PKO BP has organised a consortium which will finance copper and silver miner KGHM Polska Miedź to the tune of PLN1.1bn. The money is needed for the companyís telecoms venture, Telefonia Lokalna. The consortium has come under the joint wing of PKO BP and Pekao S.A. It also includes Kredyt Bank, BZ WBK, BRE Bank and BIG BG. PLN1.1bn is the largest sum that PKO BP has organised in the past two years. In total it has now raised PLN3.7bn for clients, around double the sum of last year. PKO BP has directly contributed around PLN900m of this.
