Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Expomedia Group sells its stake in MTK, the fair operator in Katowice, in whose hall the tragedy killing 65 people took place in January.
Expomedia Group listed in London said in a communiqué that it agreed to sell Expocentres Eastern Europe (EEE), its Cyprian subsidy, to a Polish consortium whose name it refused to publish. EEE owns 51 percent in Miedzynarodowe Targi Katowickie (MTK), the fair operator connected with the January tragedy when 65 people died under a collapsed roof. The company expects it will lose EUR 5.6m due to the transaction.
The buyer might be IBC Investment, a Warsaw company, the owner of 6.5 percent stake in MTK.
