Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Falck Medycyna (FM), the Danish investor present in Poland since 1991, plans many new projects. The National Health Fund says that while signing contracts, private companies will not be treated worse than public ones any longer. Last year, we did not win contracts in several regions because such were political decisions. This was not our best season. This year, we are submitting 40 new offers to render emergency services. If we win one third of them, it will be a very good result, Katarzyna Czajka, Falck Medycyna CEO said.

13 new contracts would mean that FM doubles its activities.

On December 12th, the National Health Fund will announce the results of contracts for the year 2006. Till December 31st, we have time to get ready to start those activities. We have nearly 200 ambulances of all types. We are ready to buy necessary cars if needed. 13 new contracts mean 45 new ambulances. One of them costs PLN 300,000-400,000 (EUR 76,800-102,400). We will increase our fleet to 750 vehicles within seven years, Falck’s CEO said. She added that the company is profitable. This year, its sales should grow 30 percent to PLN 68m.

We would be 10 times bigger, had health services been divided from security systems. We have been operating as a separate company for a year now and our market share in the emergency market services has grown from 1 to 7 percent, Ms. Czajka said.
