There were plans for 70 outlets, five years later there are only 13 of them. No wonder that Shell has sold its network of car garages.

French Feu Vert SAS has bought a network of car services and 100 percent of Shell Autoserv company from Shell Polska.

“The main reason was the change of global strategy of the company. Shell Autoserv was supposed to become distribution channel for our products, mainly engine oils. Today, we’re giving up this channel”, Pawel Zuk, general director of Shell in Poland said.

Transaction was concluded on May 31st. Shell sold its car services in other countries as well.

Shell bought 11 car garages in 2003 from Kwik-Fit Polska. It had planned to build over 70 service centers. The plans failed.

Feu Vert group was founded in France 30 years ago and started its European expansion in 1990. Today, it has operations in Spain, Poland and Portugal where it has jointly 400 centers.
