Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) - Teresa Lubinska, the Minister of Finance, is working on the amendment to the budget law for 2006.
I will present its bill to the government next Tuesday. The deficit will amount to PLN 30 billion (EUR 7.7 billion), Teresa Lubinska said.
She admitted that no decision has been made concerning the fuel excise duty.
It is hard to say if we increase it, how and when. Analyses are being conducted. We have documents proving that it would not necessarily mean higher prices in gas stations, the Minister of Finance said.
The government withdrew, however, from the incentive to employ new workers (PLN 1,000 of CIT deduction within two years).
We won't implement it. It would be misused and not bring the expected effects, she believed.
However, labour costs will be cut.
We will start analyses in 2006. We want to lower quasi-taxes and social insurance payments. We may implement two PIT rates: 18 and 32 percent, but our estimates show that CIT and PIT changes have no influence on the economic development, Teresa Lubinska said.
