NATO tenders soon

In the next few weeks the ministry of defence will announce tenders to bring the airports at Poznań — Krzesine and Malbork as well as the naval base at Gdynia and the fuels base at Gardeja up to NATO standards.

Once work is underway at the aforementioned bases, more tenders will be announced. The cost of this is likely to come to between USD500m E USD600m, eighty percent of which will be paid by the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. Poland will have to come up with the rest of the cash.

In total five fuel depots, seven air bases and two naval bases are to be included in the seven year modernisation plan.

The air bases will be brought up to standard by the American NATO Expansion together with the Polish Prokor, the German Weidleplan is responsible for the fuel depots and Mostostal Warszawa and the Turkish Unitek the naval bases.
