Ten months after the collapse of Lublin based commercial vehicle manufacturer Daewoo Motor Polska, it is now accepted that no salvation is possible. The LD-100 van, touted to be for Daewoo Motor Polska what the Mini Metro was for British Leyland – the miracle maker, never drove off the designers plans. Parked alongside it are the offers of would be investors with their final destination the waste paper basket. Next in line for oblivion are the dreams of the Korean Daewoo and their entry into a united Europe based around its factories in Lublin and Warsaw. Now the liquidator has one task only, that of saving whatever assets that can still be used.
