The Polish government would like to see national airline LOT playing a role in the consolidation of the airline sector in this country with Warsaw’s airport at Okęcie keeping its hub status. It seems that Lufthansa and Star Alliance are not considered to be able to offer this whereas Oneworld and British Airways are seen as more likely partners.
