PLN1bn in mortgages
GE Bank Mieszkaniowy is planning to double the amount of mortgages it gives this year over those granted in 2000 to take it to over PLN1bn. It has just finished installing a new computer system at a cost of over USD1m which should facilitate this task. One of the ways it intends to do this is to find agents and it hopes to sign agreements with three or four companies who will act as distribution channels for its products.
