Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – IKEA, the Swedish furniture retailer, is going to invest in Poland PLN 1.5 billion (EUR 342.5 million) within three years. The company will build a new store in Lodz, central Poland, and enlarge the ones in Poznan, Wroclaw, Gdansk and Krakow. It will also invest in companies producing for IKEA.
The company plans to increase the number of products bought from Polish firms by 10-20 percent. Via its network, IKEA exports from Poland goods worth over PLN 3 billion. Poland is the second largest global deliverer to the IKEA network, after China.
