Poland: Wednesday rebound is continued

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – On Thursday, the rebound started yesterday was continued. In the morning, the WIG20 index returned above the level of 1800 points at high volume of trade amounting to PLN 100 million (EUR 23.7 million). The index of the largest companies ended up 1.42 percent at 1822.99 points.

Shares of PKO BP grew 2.9 percent after four consecutive days of falls. Shares worth PLN 136 million changed hands, one third of the whole trade on the Polish stock exchange GPW. Pekao S.A. bank rose 3.2 percent. KGHM rebounded after Wednesday falls. PKO BP announced that it had reduced its stake in the copper producer under 5 percent. KGHM announced it is going to keep production at the unchanged level of 550-50 thousand tonnes and that it was on a short lilst to buy copper ledge in Peru.
