Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) - The last among competitors GSM operators crossed the boarder of 10m clients.
During four months of 2006, Polkomtel, the operator of PlusGSM and Sami Swoi’s network, acquired nearly million of new subscribers. Polkomtel has already 10m clients. Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (Era) exceeded this number last year, and PTK Centertel (Orange) – in the first quarter of this year.
“We keep the forecast of 2m new subscribers for this year, the market develop so rapidly, so that it could be even more. After four months we have already half of this number”, Mirosław Bielicki, vicepresident of Polkomtel said.
According to him, the revenues of the operator will be higher this year than in 2005, but he denies giving any forecast. The number of subscribers still rise but revenues from one client of GSM network decreases. So far Polkomtel has fought against that tendency the most effectively and being the smallest, it has the best index of revenue per one client. At he moment he wins clients faster but, without any doubt, it will be reflected in profitability.
