Sell, sell, sell

Another bad start to what may be another bad week. Warsaw followed the rest of Europe and they all went the wrong way together. The problem is America and no one seems to know what is happening there and the markets are not giving any pointers. For the past year the Nasdaq has finished every quarter down on what it started at. That is only part of the story. The rest is that domestic investors are so nervous they can pick up any signal from abroad and treat it pessimistically. Unlike last year when internet madness and the dot con companies were forcing up the stock exchange, things this year look a little less than enthusiastic. The markets have taken a beating, down nearly 18 percent on the first quarter of this year alone. What is worse for anyone with their money tied up in stock is that analysts are not expecting anything to get any better.
