Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Stocznia Szczecinska Nowa (SSN) needs PLN 190m (EUR 51.1m) from its investor and hopes for another cash injection from state-owned agency.

SSN shipyard management will soon receive privatization offers. So far, the investor could not be chosen because the auditor refused to approve of last year’s balance.

“We have managed to reach agreement with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Initial offers should come before October 19th”, Andrzej Trzeciakowski, SSN CEO said. He founded a new company, Amber, to implement the project. First Securities of Norway is another possible investor. The latter is, however, told to be planning to acquire only the assets f the shipyard. The new owner is supposed to raise the shipyard’s capitaly by PLN 190m. The shipyard has already received PLN 120m from state-owned agency of industrial development. The shipyard estimated it needed PLN 200m.
