In the second quarter of 2007, Tell had nearly PLN 58m (EUR 15.2m) of sales, or 40.2 percent more than in the same period of last year. In the first half of the year, sales amounted to PLN 188.22m, or 60 percent more. The operating income jumped 269.7 percent to PLN 3.1m. The net income rose to PLN 2.3m from PLN 752,000 a year earlier.
The results were generated because Tell group grew. The company bought Havo with 100 outlets for PLN 20m.
The listed company distribute Orange services. At the end of the first half of the year, it had 261 shops selling the services against 157 a year earlier. Besides, Tell has Connex, a subsidiary selling prepaid cards of mobile operators other than Orange.
