Train to Siberia
The transport ministry wants to lengthen the wide gauge LHS railway line to the Czech border in order to link it up with the Far East following suggestions from their opposite numbers in Moscow. This line would be serious competition for seaborne transport although it is strongly backed by other companies in the region.
