Warsaw surprises

The Warsaw stock market defined the European trend on Friday and noted increases largely due to telecommunications stock with Netia leading the way forward.

The WIG20 noted an increase of 0.6 percent to take it to 1,254 points whilst the WIG gained 0.5 percent to take it to 13,892 points.

By comparison the FTSE lost 0.8 percent, CAC40 one percent and the DAX 1.8 percent.

Netia, undoubtedly the most speculative stock available on the bourse, gained thirteen percent on Friday.
