Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – After five days of losses, investor finally saw WIG20 index in green.

The 20 share blue chips index opened strongly, then stopped increases, to grow again in the afternoon thanks to rising foreign markets. The WIG20 index added 0.7 percent to 3,446.46 points while shares worth nearly PLN 2bn changed hands.

KGHM copper producer was the best performer for nearly the whole day thanks to growing copper prices. Then, however, Agora media group rose even higher on the news it is founding joint venture with ATM to distribute multimedia products via internet. WIG20 would have ended even higher hadn’t it been for TP telecom, PKN Orlen fuel giant or Pekao bank which ended down.
