WIG20 ends only slightly down

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – WIG20 changed its trend today several times but it ended just slightly below it opened.

 

sWIG80 and mWIG40 which were losing in the morning, ended up. mWIG40 was losing 3.9 percent before noon. After it reached the bottom of 3,774.29 points, it rebounded and ended 1 percent and 193 points up. WIG20 lost 0.06 percent on Friday.

 

This week, mWIG40 has shed 6.8 percent, sWIG80 has dived 8.2 percent while the 20 share blue chips index has fallen only 3.1 percent.

Fuel companies have been the best performers recently. PKN Orlen has gained 2.4 percent after it had shed 12.9 percent in the period of November 5-9th. Grupa Lotos has risen 3.8 percent on presenting better than expected results and raising full year’s forecasts. Construction and homebuilding companies have been doing much worse. Polonord has shed 15.3 percent (against 14.9 percent decrease last week). Polimex-Mostostal, the biggest listed construction company, has dropped 12.3 percent. In the last four weeks, it has already dived 36 percent.
