WSE continues the downward trend

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – This week started much worse than the previous ones. The Warsaw Stock Exchange opened down on Friday decrease of the US peers and falls noted by Asian markets today. The WIG20 opened over 2 percent up while mWIG40 and sWIG80 were losing 1.6 percent on average. The 20 share blue chips index was losing even 3.15 percent during the day.

Bioton insulin producer was one of the worst performers. The company ended 15.4 percent down on very bad fourth quarter results. Jutrzenka sweet producer dropped 14.03 percent on the report it had lost PLN 5.6m last year. PKO BP bank shed 1.19 percent, Pekao 2.56 percent, PKN Orlen 3.78 percent, BZWK 4.05 percent. GTC construction company fell 1.84 percent while PGB 3.44 percent.

WIG20 ended just 1.38 percent down. The rebound was advanced by KGHM copper producer which rose 0.55 percent, CEZ (7.06 percent) and Agora media group (2.40 percent up). The volume of trade amounted to only PLN 1.37bn.
