The 20 share blue chips index added 0.85 percent to 2,631.23 points on Monday. Banks paced the advances including BZ WBK and PKO BP. PKN Orlen fuel giant rose for the first time in three days. On Wednesday, the company publishes its second quarter results. Despite further decreases of copper prices, KGHM rebounded slightly. Cersanit tile producer gained on the news it would launch sales of its products from its Ukrainian plant within a month.
Among small and mid-caps, the market was slightly worse. Orco Property Group
jumped 3.4 percent after it had added 0.6 percent on Friday. The homebuilding
company said it would sell some of its assets worth over EUR 200m. Kruk jewelry
producers added 6.9 percent, Vistula clothes distributor added 2.3 percent while
Alma retailer rose 4.1 percent. Kompap added over 3 percent on the news that its
CEO had bought 11,500 shares. Eurocash continued the upward trend after DI BRE
had raised its recommendation to ‘buy’ with PLN 14 of target prices. Today, the
stock closed at PLN 10.8.
