Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The WIG20 index shed 3.58 percent today and all its gains generated on Monday and Friday are lost.

Today, Polish banks were falling, so were commodity companies with the exception of PGNiG gas monopoly. The 20 share blue chips index was trading 2-3 percent down. TP telecom was doing quite well in the morning, PBG was the best performer but its influence on the WIG20 index is too small to substantially change it.

mWIG40 and sWIG80 lost slightly less than the main index. ATM rose on the news it had received PLN 72.3m of EU funds.

PKN Orlen fuel giant and TP dived in the afternoon dragging down the blue chips index. Cersanit tile producer and Asseco IT company ended up.
