Poland: Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) Arcelor, the investor of Huta Warszawa steel plant, is preparing its strategy in Poland.

We are putting down part of old equipment to build a new flat steel production line, Henri Grober, Arcelor Huta Warszawa CEO said.

He refused to give the value of the investment. Unofficial sources say, it is EUR 30m.

We will invest much more, the CEO said only.

He added that his company will produce steel products for construction branch.

Celsa Ostrowiec and CMC Zawiercie are producing steel products for this branch.

There is place for other steel plants which produce for construction companies. Till the year 2014, production in this segment should grow 8 percent. We watch development in other countries as well. In Spain, production has risen by 300,000 tonnes, in the UK by 194,000 tonnes but in Germany a decrease has been noted by 399,000 tonnes, Andrzej Ciepiela, the head of the Polish Union of Steel Distributors commented.
