The acquisition of big Romanian IT company may not take place eventually, “PB” sources say. Subsidiary of Polish giant, Asseco South Eastern Europe was supposed to buy the firm. According to unofficial sources, there have been too big discrepancies in the evaluation of the company.
“You cannot state clearly that the acquisition won’t take place at all. Talks have not been broken but they have stalked”, a source close to Asseco revealed.
Siveco is one of Romania’s biggest IT companies and has great perspectives as the Romanian IT market will grow much faster than the Polish one. Soon a tender will be concluded in the country to deliver computers to schools worth PLN 500m (EUR 148m). The next stage will be worth PLN 1bn.
Whether the acquisition is conducted or not, Asseco may cooperate with Siveco building a consortium.
