The Upper Silesian Energy Concern (GZE) has announced that it is prepared to allow debtors to have outstanding credits up to a maximum of PLN320m.

It is in the process of selling its debts and realising that executing cash from heavy industry is rather out of the question, is prepared to accept barter in the form of coal.

Likely bad debt now stands at PLN370m. GZE is the only electricity distributor to have been partially privatised.
