The Warsaw stock market was completely out of step with the rest of Europe on Friday. Whilst London and Frankfurt noted gains in excess of two percent and Paris of over three percent it was all doom and gloom here. The WIG20 lost 2.3 percent to close at 1,216 points and the WIG lost 1.8 percent to close at 14,192 points. Some of the most noteworthy losers on Friday were Orbis and BPH E PBK bank which were down around five percent, TPSA down four percent, telecoms operator Szeptel and construction firm Mostostal Zabrze which lost around nine percent. At the time of writing on Friday evening it is impossible to say how the markets will go in New York, however if they continue to rise, a major rebound has to be expected in Warsaw on Monday.
