Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The fuel base was sold to Warsaw Equity Holding very cheaply. The investor wants to generate money from handling biofuel and storing fuel.

The fuel base in Swinoujscie may again become fully operational. Millennium Leasing owned by Bank Millennium has found an investor for the base. Aristid Investments, a company owned by Warsaw Equity Holding, the owner of internet service Gadu-gadu which is going to be listed soon, has bought the base. “Kurier Szczecinski” daily said several days ago that the transaction amounted to only PLN 1.5m (EUR 378,000). Meanwhile, Krzysztof Piotrowski, the manager of Porta Holding, the former owner of the base, said that PLN 160m had been already invested in the company. However, according to the newspaper, the base is burdened with PLN 600m of mortgage.

“We cannot reveal the acquisition price. I can only say that the assets are not burdened with anything”, Wojciech Kaczorowski, Bank Millennium spokesman said.

If Aristid really bought the base for PLN 1.5m without debts, this was a great opportunity. The agreement with Aristid comes into force unless Port Szczecin-Swinoujscie harbor or the state buys it.

Aristid is getting ready to manage the base.

“We plan to launch operations concerning the handling and storage of plant oils and petrochemicals”, Mariusz Banaszuk representing the company said.

He added that the company will enter the biofuel market.

“We plan to launch the cargo handling services and to offer storage services to companies producing biofuel”, Mariusz Banaszuk added.
