Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The Russians want to raise their share within the company while PGNiG gas monopoly wants to change the supervisory board.

On Wednesday, another GSM of Gas Trading will be held. Gas Trading is the owner of 4 percent of EuRoPol Gaz, the operator of Yamal pipeline delivering Russian gas to Western Europe. This 4-percent stake is the key to obtain majority at EuRoPol Gaz where PGNiG gas monopoly and Gazprom have 48 percent each. The GSM is supposed to change the supervisory board of Gas Trading where PGNiG has 43.41 percent, Bartimpex owned by Aleksander Gudzowaty 36.17 percent while Gazprom Export (Russian Gazprom’s subsidiary) 15.88 percent of shares.

Gazprom Export would like the original shareholders’ structure to be revived where it would have 35 percent of shares. A year ago, it was Barimpex who applied for the same thing. Now, Bartimpex is ready to talk about increasing Russian stake at Gas Trading. PGNiG’s representatives who have so far refused to increase the Russian’s stake at Gas Trading, have changed their attitude.
