Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Getin, a financial holding controlled by Leszek Czarnecki, has bought a brokerage.

Leszek Czarnecki, Getin Holding main shareholder, has always said that a brokerage might become part of the group. Yesterday, the company said in a statement that it is buying 64 percent of DM Polonia.net, a brokerage from Krakow. The holding’s representatives refused to comment. The transaction will amount to PLN 9.5m (EUR 2.7m), not much considering the broker’s net income. Last year, it was PLN 2.4m, up from PLN 1m a year earlier.

“This is a good decision and a good price. It’s better to buy a brokerage house than to build it from the very beginning”, Grzegorz Leszczynski, IDMSA CEO commented.
