| Management Board of Grupa Kęty notifies that on 19 January 2006 around 7 p.m. dangerous fire broke out in the Packaging Division in Kęty. This fire spread over the production building where printing machines stood. People working there were evacuated immediately. None of the workforce was hurt. The fire was extinguished around 11 p.m., then the production premises were secured and locked. Management Board of Grupa Kęty notifies that at the moment cause of this fire is unknown. It will be investigated by a special group of professionals such as expert firemen, policemen and prosecutors. Because of the launched investigation and necessary safeguard action, Management Board is not able to preliminary assess damages caused by the fire and the extinguishing action. Such information will be disclosed within nearest tens ours. Nevertheless, reduction in volume of produced packaging in Kęty has to taken into account. Production assets in the destroyed building were insured against unforeseen emergencies. No other production premises over the company's area were damaged. The production processes in them are carried out without any disturbances. |
