“We have chosen companies where the advisory services will cost more than EUR 133,000. In such case, there are 40 days to submit an offer since the announcement. If we publish a pre-announcement, the time shortens to 29 days”, Maciej Wiewior, the spokesman of the ministry said.
The tenders will probably be announced in June.
“Privatization of these companies is planned at the end of 2008 and beginning of 2009, or in 2009. Decision how they will be privatized has not been made yet. They may be listed on the WSE or sold to an investor”, Maciej Wiewior added.
This is part of the four-year plan of the ministry. Within four years, the ministry plans to raise PLN 27bn (EUR 7.9bn) in privatization. It could raise PLN 150bn, had it decided to sell all its assets, including ‘holy cows’ like KGHM, PKN Orlen or PZU. The four-year agenda covers 722 companies.
