Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Although TP telecom postpones the time of presenting its strategy for the years 2006-2008, analysts know the basic provisions: no. 1 in mobile telecommunication, offering internet access plus new services.

TP, the former monopoly telecom in Poland, was going to present its strategy tomorrow.

“This was a preliminary deadline, which is not valid any longer”, Barbara Gorska, TP spokeswoman said.

The company will probably present the strategy after it publishes its fourth quarter report due on February 13th. Analysts expect slightly worse results than in the same period of 2004. PLN 450m (EUR 117.9m) of net income in the fourth quarter is forecast and PLN 1.7 billion in 2005.

“The image of the company would improve if it declared something new as far as its dividend is concerned. It could easily pay out as much as PLN 2 a share”, Dorota Puchlew from BDM PKO BP said.

TP, however, will probably follow suit of its European counterparts and pay out dividend of 2.5-4.5 percent of its income.

Analysts expect nothing new in the fixed telecommunication strategy.

“The company will want to stabilize the downward trend of sales in this sector. Clients will still migrate to mobile networks, however, Krzysztof Kaczmarczyk, DB Securities analyst commented.

TP will probably repeat its forecasts that Orange, its mobile network will become number one in the Polish market.

“These forecasts may come true at the end of this year”, Krzysztof Kaczmarczyk said.

TP should focus on offering broadband and mobile internet access.

“And then it is easy to offer new technologies services like television”, DB Securities analyst believed.
