Optimus was the best company listed on the WSE yesterday. The stock rose 30.85 percent to PLN 2.46 (EUR 0.7). There was no statement from the company. According to “PB” sources, however, there was unofficial news that the company had successfully sold all its newly issued shares, i.e. 18.7m of shares at a price PLN 1 each. If this is true, Optimus management will withdraw the bankruptcy suit filed earlier. The funds raised in the issue are to be spent to pay back the debts (to, among others, Bank BPH and Microsoft), which will enable the company take new credits. Over PLN 4m are to be invested as Optimus wants to start selling its products in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
