Petrolot, which is owned by fuels concern PKN Orlen and Polish airlines LOT, is to expand its business in the Wrocław, Katowice and Rzeszow airports.

At the same time cash strapped national carrier LOT is considering disposing of its 49 percent stake in Petrolot.

Orlen would be happy to take the shares but there are also other potential buyers such as international aviation fuel concerns.

Petrolot is expecting to see profits down by PLN2m to PLN5.5m this year due to the recession in the industry.
