Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) Today, PKO BP, Poland¹s biggest retail bank with assets worth over PLN 86 billion (EUR 22.4 billion), is going to announce its strategy. The market has big hopes.

I would like PKO BP to talk about its foreign expansion: where it is going to invest and how much it is going to pay. Banks in the Balkans, of which he was interested before, are expensive, Marcin Jablczynski, CA IB analyst said.

Others doubt that the bank will reveal that much.

I do not think they will say something more about the expansion. What market would like to know, i.e. with whom PKO BP is talking and how much the acquisition will cost, must be kept secret, Artur Szeski, CDM Pekao analyst said.

Analysts are also curious about the bank¹s plans in Poland.

I hope we will finally learn details concerning the planned cooperation with Poczta Polska post company and Bank Pocztowy: where both groups see synergies and how it is going to influence PKO BP, Marcin Materna, Millennium DM brokerage analyst said.

Experts estimate that the acquisition of a 25 percent stake in Bank Pocztowy by PKO BP was a passive investment.

Yet another thing of interest is the situation in the market after the planned merger of Pekao and Bank BPH. Both companies are more effective than PKO BP.

In what markets will PKO BP want to keep its dominance and how fast it will develop, Marcin Materna asked.
