Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) - The national data system, the most important IT tool supporting the policemen belongs to the Polish National Police only theoretically.
In fact, any modification of the system without the approval of Oracle and HP which have implemented it, will make the police lose the warranty. The Public Procurement Office points out that the Police have hurt themselves even harder: they even can’t buy another system without Oracle’s approval. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has promised to fight against IT monopolies.
