Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – PKP Intercity wants to improve the catering service offered by Wars. First changes will be visible as early as this year.

 

PKP Intercity (PKP IC) has good news for its clients.

“Bar carriages look like we were in the former era. Their look and catering offer is going to change”, Czeslaw Warsewicz, the temporary CEO of PKP IC said.

The company has 79 bar and 18 restaurant carriages which today it leases to Wars. PKP IC plans to modernize into bar carriages 50 out of its 1,300 trains till the end of 2008. The first changes in restaurant carriages will be visible in fall this year.

 

The company has recently signed agreement with EIB. After the first seven months of this year, the company had PLN 16m (EUR 10.2m) of net income. In July, it had 1m of passengers, the highest result in its history, and 13.7 percent more than in the same period of last year. At the end of this year, PKP IC plan to have PLN 40m of net income and 11m of passengers.
