Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Veterinary inspectors from Russia will control meat and dairy plants in Poland after October 21st, Siergiey Dankwert, the head of Russian veterinary authorities said.

He made preliminary agreements in this matter with representatives of the European Commission.

“We were told that this is Russia’s right to do it and that we will have the opportunity to do this”, he said.

He admitted that he had not received official approval. Moscow said it would levy the ban on Polish products from firms with special licenses. The Poles are preparing a list of companies which Russian experts would visit.
