Steel a problem
The economy ministry in preparing its Polish Steel (PHS) project has assumed that some PLN700m of the sector’s PLN1.2bn debt is to be written off. The plan sees the linking of the Katowice, Sendzimir, Florian and Cedler mills with a PLN718m injection although no-one knows where the money is coming from.
