MIDWIG and WIRR rose over 1.5 percent each while WIG20 ended 0.32 percent up while blue chips worth nearly PLN 2 billion changed hands. Growing copper prices helped KGHM which gained over 2 percent. BPH and BRE banks rebounded after yesterday’s losses. IT sector was much stronger, with Prokom pacing the advances and gaining 5 percent. PKN Orlen and TP dragged the index down.
Among small and mid- caps, the following companies
attracted most attention: Sanwil, FON, Centrostal Gdansk and TUP which said it
concluded transaction and has plans of further issues. The worst performers
include 7Bulls.com, Artman and Fasing.
