WIG20 falls nearly 0.9 percent this week

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – On Friday, the 20 share blue chips index lost 1.57 percent. In the last five days, it fell 0.86 percent.

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – On Friday, the 20 share blue chips index lost 1.57 percent. In the last five days, it fell 0.86 percent.

Today, the WIG20 index was all day below the level it ended yesterday. It ended at 3,146.13 points. Only three blue chips ended up today. All of them published their quarter results last week. TP, Kety and BRE Bank managed to grow. BRE Bank said today that its net income amounted to PLN 125.65m agains PLN 55.9m a year ago. The stock rose 1.8 percent.

Elektrim opened 40 percent up after yesterday the company said it paid back its bondholders with EUR 525m. At 1 p.m. the court rejected the motion to announce Elektrim’s bankruptcy. The stock unexpectedly dived to its day’s low of PLN 8.55 but after several seconds it rebounded. It ended at PLN 8.6, or 14.8 percent up.
