Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – The WIG20 grew 0.84 percent on Wednesday to 2,813.91 points. KGHM copper producer led the advances.
On Tuesday, after the closing bell, KGHM reported fourth quarter results which were worse than expected. However, the growth rate – 677 percent higher net income, encouraged investors. KGHM led the advances. WIG20 grew although 9 of its companies lost, while three remained unchanged. Pekao bank and TP telecom were the worst performers. Pekao dived 1.2 percent to PLN 167. The company suffers due to uncertain future of its merger with Bank BPH. TP ended the two-day winning streak and ended 1.3 percent down at PLN 23.2. The operator is going to spend PLN 1.4 billion for dividend, three times more than a year ago. Agora media group lost over 3 percent to PLN 60.5 after it said it would cut the price for its daily by half to PLN 1.
