Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Listed shoe producers and distributors consider consolidation. Wojas would like to join Gino Rossi. Prima Moda is also planning to build a group.

Wojas is looking for acquisition targets in Poland and abroad. It is negotiating with companies in Slovakia and the Czech Republic owning jointly 20 shops. Wojas is also negotiating in Poland – with a company selling more expensive products.

“If we manage to acquire it, we will leave the brand and will simultaneously develop two brands and chains of shops”, Wieslaw Wojas, Wojas company owner said.

According to unofficial sources, Wojas wanted to buy Kazar, a shoe company from Przemysl, but the price was too high (rumors say it was PLN 50m, or EUR 14.7m). Now, Wojas, eyes other companies.

“I can see Wojas in one team with Gino Rossi”, Wieslaw Wojas said.

“I’m surprised because I haven’t talked about it with Mr. Wojas”, Maciej Fedorowicz, Gino Rossi CEO replied.

“Both companies have totally different business models, different products and targets. The only synergy would be a bigger scale”, Michal Potyra, UniCredit CAIB analyst said.

Gino Rossi is negotiating with several companies, not only shoe producers, but also clothes, jewelry and cosmetics companies. It has recently acquired Simple clothes producer. Prima Moda, a shoe company from Wroclaw, considers the same business model.
