Despite the doubts of the insurance and pension watchdog KNUiFE as to the abilities of the new members of the board of life assurer PZU Życie, their jobs have been confirmed by being registered into the legal register (KRS). The law states that the board of an insurance company must have at least two persons who have a suitable background in the business. In a recent case, PUNU, the forerunner of KNUiFE argued that running an insurance company did not give the MD sufficient experience to run an assurance company, although the courts decided otherwise.
