Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Alma, the listed retailer, is going to build apartment flats and an office building in Krakow.
Several months ago Jerzy Mazgaj, Alma CEO, said that he would surprise investors. Yesterday, he revealed the details.
“We want to build apartments and offices”, Jerzy Mazgaj said.
The project will be launched next year. About 7,000-8,000 square meters of flat surface will be sold (worth about PLN 60m, or EUR 15.8m), while the office building will be used by Alma and rented to other companies.
“We won’t have problems with the funds because we have money. A small problem may appear if we successfully conclude negotiations to acquire one of the companies”, Alma CEO pointed out.
The Krakow company has been for some time already said to be interested in acquiring a retailer. Additional funds would be raised from selling the stock of Krakchemia, a company trading with chemicals. It would be listed or sold to an investor.
