Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – Anwil, a chemical producer from PKN Orlen’s group, wants to buy Tarnow and Kędzierzyn plants. It may have rivals, however.

Anwil was supposed to be listed last year. It wasn’t but in the first quarter of this year, it will correct its issue prospectus. It will be clear then when the IPO will be conducted and what the offer will look like. Funds raised on the stock exchange will be spent for acquisitions.

“We are interested in Tarnow and Kedzierzyn nitrogen producers”, Krzysztof Kaminski, Anwil member of the board said.

Anwil would like to become the plants’ sole investor. Ciech, however, also plans acquisitions. Zaklady Azotowe Pulawy may also join the competition.

Anwil does not reveal how much it will spend for acquisitions this year.
