Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) - Zbigniew Religa, Minister of Health, wonders how to talk the Poles into buying additional health policies, while one fourth of the nation wants to buy additional health insurance without any convincing. 30 percent hesitate and 45 percent say "no". To be sure, insurance companies cannot pass the opportunity.

Half of the Poles who would like to buy additional insurance would like to pay PLN 90-130 monthly. The following insurance companies modify their offers at present: PZU, Allianz, Cigna STU, Signal Iduna, Inter and Commercial Union while Amplico Life has its own offer. According to re-assurance company Gen Re, in 2005, the Poles spent PLN 316m (EUR 83.4m) for health insurance. Today, there are two kinds of insurance in Poland. Insurers want to offer policies with monthly fee which would enable the clients to get free services at private healthcare outlets.
