BillBird lures the Poles working abroad

Warsaw (Puls Biznesu) – It will be possible to receive money earned abroad in a shop in Poland. BillBird, a company from Krakow, prepares relevant solutions.

 

BillBird wants to implement a new service: ‘my money transfers’. Last year, the Poles working abroad conveyed to Poland several billions of euros. There are several ways to do it, including specialized companies, by mail, etc. The Poles with accounts at PKO BP may transfer funds free of charge via British NatWest bank. ING Bank Slaski accepts free transfers in euro as well. Citibank Handlowy offers free transfers within the whole Citi group. It has also recently implemented a joint service with the Polish Post allowing to send money via the internet – money is delivered by the postman.

 

BillBird, owned by US GTECH, an operator of points where bills are paid and pre-paid cards are sold, prepares a new offer. Together with one of world’s leading groups specializing in cash transfers it is preparing an offer where BillBird will pay the cash in Poland. It will be first possible within its network consisting of several dozens outlets. Then, it will be possible in each shop with POS terminal. There are over 7,000 of them in Poland.
